The four Hartford HealthCare hospitals offering weight loss services — Backus and Hartford hospitals and MidState and St. Vincent’s medical centers — are sponsors of the annual walk against obesity.

TREO Foundation’s The Walk, formerly the Walk From Obesity, raises funds for treatment, research and education to end the disease of obesity.

Join the Stigma Stompers, HHC’s team of providers, clinicians and patients, led by Tammy Piel, in the walk by registering for the event, or support the team’s fundraising efforts.

In addiiton to the walk, the day includes a DJ, raffles and vendors. Guest speakers include Darren Tischler, MD, head of the HHC medical and surgical weight loss team.
