Screenings Galore at This Year’s Healthy Living Festival

Hartford HealthCare will be front and center at this year’s Healthy Living Festival hosted by the Greater Norwich Chamber of Commerce, offering myriad screenings and other activities throughout the event. Backus Hospital and Hartford HealthCare are sponsors of this event.
“These types of community events allow us to reach such a broad range of people in the area,” said Michele Brezniak, community health nurse for the East Region. “We are proud to be an active member of the Norwich Chamber and be able to provide screenings and vaccines at events such as these.”
Among the screenings and education provided by HHC staff are:
- Blood pressure
- Breast health
- Bone density
- Diabetes
- Stroke
- Head/neck/dental
- Vascular
- Vision
- Cervical cancer
An array of vaccines will be available, and bike helmets for kids will be given away. Among other activities are a car show, therapy animals, live music, kids games and activities, petting zoo, food trucks and more!
The festival is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday at Dodd Stadium, 14 Stott Avenue, Norwich. It is free admission.
