At 32 weeks pregnant, doctors discovered that Kirsten Dorsey had an aortic aneurysm likely brought on by Marfan syndrome. Kirsten needed to get to Hartford Hospital quickly. Dr. Marine Sahakyan delivered Kirsten's baby boy without complications. Then Dr. Sheelagh Pousatis and her cardiac team immediately performed life-saving open heart surgery on Kirsten.
